Brooklyn residents looking a way to help  capture and retain  your neighborhood stories or looking for a great resource depository were you can find a wealth of material that captures the history  of your Brooklyn neighborhood .

The Brooklyn Collection 

The Brooklyn Collection at Grand Army and the NYC Preservation Project  will be hosting an oral history training session 

on November 14th , 2018

at the Central Library Located at Grand Army Plaza

Reception begins at 6:30 pm

Workshop / Training Session begins at 7:00 pm

The free session will allow participants to learn about the importance of capturing the  local history and stories that make their Brooklyn community unique. 

Such a project could be ideal for a block association, school  project  or any resident who  is concern about the changes  they are witnessing in their communities and would like to learn how to document and preserve stories and events that have impacted their neighborhoods.
